Why should I take the Basic RiderCourse?

The BRC a great program for anyone looking to learn how to safely, and responsibly ride a motorcycle. Upon successful completion you can get a waiver from the written and skills tests for a motorcycle endorsement, and you may qualify for an insurance discount.

Who should attend the Basic Rider Course?

Anyone wondering if you would like to ride a motorcycle.
Anyone with little or no motorcycling experience who wants to learn to ride in a safe environment.
Anyone who hasn’t ridden in a while but is ready to get back on the road.
Motorcyclists who already ride but need a refresher course and/or a motorcycle endorsement.
Riders seeking to obtain their basic rider course completion cards in order to obtain an insurance discount as mandated by the State of Tennessee.

Successful completion of this two day course, its ecourse, knowledge, and skill tests, which consists of approximately 16 hours, waives the written and driving tests at the Tennessee DMV and earns your Class M Motorcycle Endorsement.
